The 5 Faces of Imposter Syndrome
you ARE good enough
Ever had that voice in your head whispering, "You're not good enough"?
That's Imposter Syndrome.
It makes you think your success is just a stroke of luck.
You’re nothing special.
And at any moment, everyone will figure out you're a fraud.
They'll discover the real you - scared, intimidated, overwhelmed, and underqualified.
But what if that voice is wrong?
Let’s unmask the five faces of Impostor Syndrome — fear of failure, fear of success, perfectionism, procrastination, and workaholism.
Revealing these signs is the first step to overcoming them.
It's time to step into your potential.
5 Faces of Imposter Syndrome
1. Fear of Failure
This is the most common symptom.
It’s the dread that your next move will be the fatal mistake that exposes you as incompetent.
This fear freezes your progress.
Even simple decisions feel like balancing on a tightrope over the Grand Canyon.
Action Tip: Get your emotional needs met outside of your work.
Then, your business becomes an experiment in what you can achieve.
Psychologically, you need 3 things: validation, recognition, and connection.
"I see you"
"You're doing great"
"I love you"
That's it.
List 3 people who fill these roles.
Lean into them.
Talk to them.
Be around them.
Because they're excellent for your business.
When those 3 needs are met, you're playing with house money.
There are no failures.
2. Fear of Success
It’s real, and it's way more common than you think.
You worry that each success will only expectations higher.
You're assuming you’ll eventually fail.
Success now means bigger falls later.
This is holding you back more than you realize.
Action Tip: Focus on the positives of success—like the doors it opens—instead of the pressure.
Success empowers a cool life.
Travel, entertainment, and time with family.
These are memories you'll cherish forever.
The only price for them is facing your fear of success.
3. Perfectionism
You set impossibly high standards that can never be met.
Then you feel crushed when you fall short.
It’s a cycle that leads to stress, anxiety, and burnout.
Action Tip: External accountability.
Remember high school when you spent weeks thinking of the perfect way to approach your crush.
You put it off forever.
You weren't ready.
And then in 2.2 seconds flat, your friend called them and tossed you the phone.
And you started talking.
Imperfect, awkward, and effective.
We needed others to make bold moves back then, and we still do today.
Find your external accountability in a mastermind group, a coach, or a mentor.
4. Procrastination
Procrastination isn’t laziness—it’s fear.
When you’re afraid you won’t measure up, it’s super easy to avoid the task entirely.
But the longer you wait, the bigger the task feels.
Action Tip: Just start.
That's the whole battle.
You start - you win.
So grab a 5 minute sand timer from Amazon.
Tell yourself you only have to work on this task for 5 minutes.
Then tip the timer over and go.
99% of the time, you'll get into the groove and work much longer.
5. Workaholism
Working a lot might seem like dedication.
Some see hustle.
Others see an addiction.
Either way, it’s a recipe for burnout.
You push yourself harder and harder to prove yourself, but at what cost?
Action Tip: You're trying to work your way to self-worth.
It won't happen.
You need to respect yourself for who you are.
No accomplishments, assets under management, or inner circle events to Tahiti will give that to you.
A deep exploration through your present, past, and future are necessary.
You’ll need to work with somebody trained to handle the intricacies of your psyche.
I can help you with that.
In the meantime, start with positive affirmations.
Write 1 in present tense, positively stated, and in your words.
Something like:
"I'm a damn good person." Tape it to your mirror and say it out loud 5 times a day.
You'll start to transform your subconscious.
Take Back Control

Addressing these issues will make you happier.

But that's not the point, is it?
